oh hello sennheiser hd202’s! i’m sorry i’ve neglected you while working full-time, but i promise you & i will share romantic double-dates again (the other couple being harry packard & various textbooks) in waterloo once september rolls around..
i thought it was a plant. it grew from just a seed to a beautiful masterpiece; it thrived, it provided oxygen, it sprinkled its seeds and spread its roots on nearby land so that the next season could yield the same plant. it was a good thing.
but what i didn’t know was that it wasn’t just any ordinary plant. of all the millions of plants that exist in our world today, this was poison ivy. did i really just spend an entire season nurturing and caring for this plant’s growth? its toxins created a perpetual itching; an irrevocable mark on my skin.
i’ve stripped the ivy from its roots, but it leaves its mark on me, and it forever reminds me of everything from the day that seed was planted.
if your eye twitches for 2 days, is that your body telling you that you’re tired?
(staring into a computer all day is definitely good for my eyes)
